What You'll Do in This Position
This position will provide HR Business Partner support for the
Environmental Safety, Health & Quality organization.
The position may be eligible for varying levels of telework. Amount
of telework, if any, will be determined by job scope, candidate
location, and other factors related to the position.
Under limited supervision, provide administrative support services
in the area of Benefits, Compensation, HR Operations, Staffing, HR
Policy/Employee Relation, Labor Relations, Talent
Management/Education Outreach and/or Diversity/EEO programs. Those
support services include, but are not limited to:
Providing counsel, policy interpretation and administrative
services for the consistent maintenance, operation and improvement
of all HR site wide programs and practices.
- Develop and maintain consistency in the application of policies
and practices that relate to HR.
- Resolve job-related employee problems and concerns.
- Establish HR operations support programs to individual
organizations in such areas as staffing, merit plans, benefits
administration, employee communications, constructive discipline,
and professional development.
Plan, develop and coordinate compensation management programs for
exempt and nonexempt employees. Plan, develop and coordinate
employee benefits program and the maintenance of complete and
accurate personnel data records.
Formulate strategies for recruiting, screening and selecting
process for qualified professional, nonexempt and temporary
personnel as needed to meet site objectives.
Plan and implement an equal employment opportunity program which
develops throughout the organization a distribution of minority and
female employees which approximates the available supply of
qualified protected category candidates.
Design and develop HR programs and special projects that empower
individuals to reach their full potential in support of the SRS
mission.
Act as point of contact for employee education program
information.
Participate in Special Projects.
Perform job analyses, write job specifications, and
descriptions.
Security Clearance Information
SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and
background review that includes checks of personal references,
credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education
verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain
and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires
U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review
results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes
may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list
of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and
security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case
basis.

Qualifications We Require
High School Diploma, GED, or other equivalent State Credential
Other Qualifications
Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if
required.
Qualifications We Desire
College degree preferred.
Possess strong personal computer skills utilizing any number of
generally accepted/available software applications to perform word
processing, database management, spreadsheet, and graphics
functions.
