- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- Job Details
- Minimum Experience: 2 years; 1st Timers not accepted
- Patient Population: Adolescents to Geriatrics
- General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: General Emergency
Department (Non-Trauma); very large and busy with high acuity;
Stroke and STEMI Certified
- Ratio / Census: 1:4 Ratio; 59 Bed ER averaging 165-175 patients
per day
- Unit Systems: Epic (required), Pyxis
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- RTO: MAX 7 days
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment
period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays
fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work
both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her
assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the
holidays.

- Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Certification,
PALS Required
- State License verification (if applicable) - within 30 days
prior to start date
- Annual Nursys (RN, LPN/LVN, AP) within 30 days prior to start
date

- Call Requirements: Not specified
- Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not
compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly
orientation schedule.
