Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Medical/Surgical Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Night Shift Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years Med/Surg RN experience required License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse Certifications: NIHSS, BLS & ACLS required; CPI - Required (must be Crisis Prevention Institute's NCI with Advanced Physical Skills Training course) Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program Job Description: - Fulfill the needs of patients, families, and the community by performing a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. - Deliver care to patients in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner. - Apply knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan necessary to provide age-appropriate care. - Demonstrate the ability to obtain information and interpret it in terms of the patient's needs. - Understand the range of treatment needed by these patients. - Make initial assessments and determine appropriate nursing needs of assigned patients, as evidenced by appropriate documentation. - Perform initial and ongoing assessments on all assigned patients, including a review of systems, as evidenced by appropriate documentation. - Complete admission assessments in the timeframe established, according to policy and procedures.
