Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical/Surgical (MS) Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12-Hour Night Shift Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours per Week Experience: 2 Years of Medical/Surgical Experience and 2 Years of RN Experience Required License: Current License to Practice as a Registered Nurse Certifications: - NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Crisis Prevention Institute's Nonviolent Crisis Intervention with Advanced Physical Skills Training Must-Have: - Graduate of an Accredited or NLN-Approved RN Program - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Highly Desired Job Description: - Fulfill the needs of patients, families, and the community by performing a variety of patient care functions and tasks. - Deliver care to patients in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner. - Apply knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan to provide age-appropriate care. - Demonstrate the ability to obtain and interpret patient information in terms of needs. - Understand the range of treatments needed by these patients. - Conduct initial assessments and determine appropriate nursing needs. - Document assessments appropriately. - Perform initial and ongoing assessments on all assigned patients, including a review of systems. - Complete admission assessments within the established time frame according to policy and procedures.
